Dracula

Thalian Association Community Theatre will hold auditions for the play, Dracula, on Monday July 20 at 7 pm. Auditions will be held at the Community Arts Center, 120 S. 2nd Street in downtown Wilmington. The play, directed by Josh Zieseniss with assistant direction by Sydney Smith Martin, will run at Historic Thalian Hall September 25 through October 4.

Please prepare a contemporary memorized monologue no more than two minutes in length. Those auditioning must be 18 years old by August 1, 2026.

If needed, callbacks will be Tuesday July 21, 6 pm, at the Community Arts Center. Please be prepared to read from a provided script.
Actors of all races and ethnicities are welcome and encouraged to audition for our entire season! All roles are available.

Please note: TACT is a community theatre that produces shows requiring various skill levels per show.  While we cannot guarantee that everyone will be cast, we encourage all performers of different skill levels and talents to audition. People new to Thalian Association are always welcome!

MINA – A woman in her early twenties. This character has various scenes with Dracula that may involve physical touch, embrace, and lip to skin contact.
HARKER – Her fiancé, a solicitor.
LUCY – Mina’s friend. Open to all genders. This character may be asked to undress to undergarments.
SEWARD – Her suitor, head of a lunatic asylum.
RENFIELD – A madman. Open to all genders. These characters embody temptation and violence. Actors playing the Vixen’s may be asked to kiss other actors to their comfort and have various scenes involving physical touch.
VAN HELSING – A professor.
DRACULA – A Count from Transylvania.
ADDITIONAL ACTORS  – Play WAITERS, ATTENDANTS, MAIDS, ETC.
VIXENS- Open to all genders. These characters embody temptation and violence. Actors playing the Vixens may be asked to kiss other actors to their comfort level and have various scenes involving physical touch.
