Reagan Blackburn
Reagan Blackburn is a recent graduate of East Carolina University, earning degrees in both theatre arts and public relations; although she is not new to the Wilmington theatre community, as she got her start doing school plays at Ashley High School in town. Since graduation, she has remained active in uplifting and highlighting the local community theatre scene, as it is a core belief of hers that everyone deserves access to an arts education. She has been a stage manager for two of Thalian Association’s most recent youth shows: Finding Nemo Jr. and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Additionally, you may have caught a recent glimpse of her in the ensembles of Elf and Beauty and the Beast. During the summertime, you can also catch her as an arts counselor and instructor for the Creative Arts Summer Camp, where she will make her Wilmington directorial debut with Magic Tree House: The Knight at Dawn KIDS.
Samantha Chappell
Sam Chappell has lived in the Wilmington area almost all of her life. Graduating from UNC with a major in Performance Studies, she is a longtime lover of the arts. Sam has directed several youth productions at TACT, including Junie B. Jones, Charlotte’s Web, Dear Edwina Jr., and most recently Willy Wonka Jr. She also had the joy of directing Cinderella on the main stage. Sam’s background includes working as the Community Arts Center Director for Thalian Association from 2014-2022 and currently with Girl Scouts, where she continues to empower young people through creativity, leadership, and community. She believes strongly in the magic of theatre to build confidence, spark joy, and create lifelong friendships. When she’s not in rehearsal, you can find her sipping coffee with her wife, chasing her twin toddlers, or playing beach volleyball with her friends!
