Thalian Association Community Theatre will hold youth auditions for Disney’s Freaky Friday the Musical, on March 2nd at 10 am. Auditions will be held at the Community Arts Center, 120 S. 2nd Street in Downtown Wilmington. The production, directed by Stacie Smith and Logan Hayes, runs April 26th to May 5th at the Hannah Block Historic USO/Community Arts Center.

Audition participants should arrive ready to sing 16 bars of an appropriate musical theatre song.  Please bring the sheet music of the song you choose.  If needed, callbacks will be that afternoon at 2 pm. TACT encourages youth ages 7 through high school senior with all levels of experience to audition. All roles are available, and performers of all races and ethnicities are welcome to audition for every show! Break a leg!

Synopsis:  When an uber-organized mother and her spontaneous teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right. Masquerading as each other, they must work together to solve the mystery of how to break the spell. By spending a day in each other’s shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another in a way they never could have imagined. In the end, both learn the true power of love and the strength of the bond between a mother and daughter in this heartfelt and hilarious adaptation.
