Thalian Association Community Theatre will hold auditions for an original youth revue show “The New Normal” on August 22nd Saturday August 22 at 11am. Auditions will be held at the Community Arts Center, 120 S. 2nd Street in downtown Wilmington. The production, directed by Chandler Davis with music direction from Cathy Street, will be filmed at the Community Arts Center for virtual viewing. If needed, callbacks will be that afternoon at 2:00 pm.
The show will feature songs from various musicals as well a scenes and original monologues. The process is designed to be collaborative and flexible. The show will focus on the human experience during current and past moments in history as well as the challenges and joys of growing up.
Due the current situation involving COVID 19, the cast will remain small ranging between 10 to 15 people with no more than ten people in rehearsal at a time until filming day. TACT staff misses everyone and is looking forward to a time when cast sizes can be larger again.
Rehearsals will typically be Mon-Thurs 5-7 and some Saturdays 10-1. All safety guidelines pertaining to COVID 19 will be followed.

All roles are available, and we welcome all levels of experience. Performers of all races and ethnicities are encouraged to audition for our entire season!
