Thalian Association Community Theatre Invites You to Be Our Guest
Beauty & the Beast Tea Party

WILMINGTON, NC – Thalian Association Community Theatre invites you to be our guest at a very special Beauty & the Beast Character Tea Party. It will take place the opening weekend of the Youth Theatre production of the classic Disney musical, on November 11th from 3:00 – 5:00 pm at the Hannah Block Historic USO/Community Arts Center.
The Tea Party will be an enchanting experience for the young and young at heart and guests are invited to come in costume. Belle and the cast of Beauty & the Beast will perform selected numbers from the TACT Youth Theatre production and there will be face painting and Enchanted Mirror craft stations. Menu items will include homemade treats and traditional tea time fare.
Disney’s Beauty & the Beast tells the story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end, and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. The Youth Theatre production features a cast of 34 young performers, ages 7 – 17.
Bring the whole family and join us for Disney’s Beauty & the Beast November 10th through November 19th at the Hannah Block Historic USO/Community Arts Center located at 120 S. 2nd Street. Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm with Sunday matinees at 3:00 pm. Tickets for the Tea Party are $25 and tickets for the show are $14 plus preservation fee and sales tax. Established in 1788, Thalian Association Community Theatre is a non-profit, membership organization dedicated to enhancing the Cape Fear region through live community theatre and arts education. Thalian Association Community Theatre produces five major productions annually on the Main Stage at historic Thalian Hall and professionally manages the Hannah Block Historic USO/Community Arts Center for the City of Wilmington. The youth theatre program offers training and performance opportunities for children age seven through high school seniors. In 2007, Thalian Association Community Theatre was designated North Carolina’s Official Community Theater by the state legislature.
